HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS REPORTING POSSIBLE DATA BREACH

First Shoneys, now a major area hotel chain is reporting a possible data breach. International Hotels Group, owner of Holiday Inn, reported possible data breaches at hotels throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

Holiday Inn Express has several locations in the area including in Crossville, Harriman, Lenoir City, Sweetwater, Athens, Dayton and a couple in Knoxville

The malware obtained data from credit cards including cardholders’ names, credit card numbers, expiration dates and security codes.

Those who stayed at the hotel between September 29 and December 29,, 2016 are at risk.

Consumers in the United States can call 855-330-6367 for more information. Also contact your bank if you stayed at Holiday Inn Express during the dates mentioned in this story.

Yesterday, Shoneys reported a data breach that spanned nationwide.
