HARRIMAN BOYS, CLARKRANGE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAMS TO COMPETE FOR STATE TITLE

The TSSAA High School Basketball State Championship playoffs start tomorrow (Thursday, March 9). Clarkrange (25-10) will start the tournament off at 1:15 p.m. by facing Perry County (18-15). If Clarkrange wins, they will advance to the semifinal round to be played at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 10.

The Pickett County girls basketball team (30-2) will start their state title run tomorrow night at 6 when they will play South Greene(32-4). The winner of that game will advance to the semifinal game to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 10.

The girls state championship game is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, March 11.

The boys state tournament will get underway a week later.

In boys action, the Harriman Blue Devils (30-6) will play Mitchell (27-7) at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 16. If the Blue Devils win, they advance to the boys state semifinals to be held at 6 p.m. Friday March 17. The boys state championship game will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 18.

All high school state championship basketball games will be played at the MTSU Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.
