The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle crash on I-40 at the 330 mile marker in Cumberland County late yesterday afternoon. A 2012 Chevy Cruz driven by 23-year-old Erwin Gabriel Cruz-Flores of Nashville was heading west and hydroplaned in heavy rainfall. The car went into the median and hit a cable barrier on the eastbound side coming to rest. The driver and four passengers escaped injury. Cruz-Flores was charged with operating a automobile without a drivers license, failure to maintain his lane of travel and driving a vehicle with expired insurance.
