Ethan Lively of Morgan County was eliminated last night on NBC’s “The Voice”.
The 17-year-old from Coalfield performed Travis Tritt’s “Help Me Hold On” in the Knockout Rounds against teammate Jordan Matthew Young, who performed “She Talks to Angels.”
All of the judges complimented Ethan for his great singing voice.
Blake Shelton called Ethan’s voice “crazy cool” and said there weren’t many like it in country music.
However in a stunning move to many, Shelton picked the one “who was ready right now” and it was Jordan Young.
“That was a heartbreaker for me because he has that unique, once-in-a-lifetime type of voice,” said Shelton.
“It’s been a great experience and I’m really grateful,” Ethan said following the show.
