FATALITY FROM WINTER STORM REPORTED IN UPPER CUMBERLAND

///
Comments are Off

Authorities say a 70-year-old Overton Countian passed away yesterday while trying to seek help after being without power for several days. The gentleman was attempting to walk to a neighbor’s home in the Hilham area when he had a heart attack.

The identity of the man is not being released out of respect for his family.

Shelters remain in place at I Am Worship Church at 4483 Cookeville Highway and Livingston First Christian Church at 320 Oakley Street while crews work to restore the remaining outages left from the winter storm. A hotline has been set up at (931) 823-8593 if anyone is in need of a ride to one of the shelters or to a medical appointment.
