ICE STORM WARNING ISSUED FOR CLINTON, WAYNE AND CUMBERLAND COUNTY, KENTUCKY

The National Weather Service has issued an ICE STORM WARNING for CLINTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, KENTUCKY and WAYNE COUNTY, KENTUCKY. It goes into effect starting at 1 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 and is scheduled to expire at 7 a.m. central Friday, February 12, 2021.

Significant icing is expected. Total ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch are expected. Power outages and tree damage are likely because of the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.
