A fire investigation by the TBI has resulted in the arrest of a Livingston, Tennessee citizen.

On July 8, 2020, TBI agents joined deputies with the Overton County Sheriff’s Department in investigating a fire that occurred two days prior at a home on Swallows Chapel Road in Overton County. During the course of the investigation, they determined that the fire had been intentionally set, and 47-year-old Tracy Hargis was allegedly responsible for starting the fire.

On Monday (January 25, 2021), the Overton County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Hargis with one count of arson. Hargis was arrested yesterday and booked into jail on a $35,000 bond.
