STATE OF TENNESSEE – 49,873 active cases (down 3,523 from yesterday) in Tennessee out of 712,406 total cases.
•662,533 recovered (UP 5,502 from yesterday)
•9,162 died (UP 192 from yesterday – new one day record number)
•2,026 are currently hospitalized (down 41 from yesterday)
•6,207,152 tested (UP 8,529 from yesterday)

The Tennessee Department of Health says if a total number drops it is because a case was re-classified as another illness instead of COVID-19.

HOSPITALIZED NUMBER – Hospitalization data reflect the cumulative (total) number of cases of residents in a county that were ever hospitalized AT ANY HOSPITAL from COVID-19. It does not reflect the number of people currently hospitalized in each county.
