Putnam County authorities say Aaron Antes and Summer Stamps were in possession of approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine and seventy grams of heroin/fentanyl mixture, and subsequently were arrested. Agents executed a search warrant at a residence and seized four firearms (3 handguns and one assault rifle), drug paraphernalia, and body armor similar to the vests utilized by law enforcement. The street value of the methamphetamine is approximately $159,000.
Antes and Stamps were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine over 300 grams. Antes was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Antes has a bond of $652,500. Stamps has a bond of $150,000.
The investigation was a collaborative effort of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the Cookeville Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Appalachian High Intensity Drug Task Force.
Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris stated, “Once again, this successful drug investigation is a direct result of cooperation among the different law enforcement agencies. However, let’s not forget, one of law enforcements most vital partnerships is you, the citizens, who call and provide crucial information that lead to a positive outcome that helps keep our community safe.”
