TRACTOR TRAILER FIRE IN PUTNAM COUNTY STOPS TRAFFIC ON I-40 FOR HOURS

At this hour (3:30 p.m. central, Saturday, January 16, 2021), crews are cleaning up after a tractor trailer fire took place earlier this morning on I-40. It happened at the 273 mile marker in Putnam County. The semi’s cab was fully-involved over the median wall. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and extinguish it. No injuries were reported.
