The Crossville City Council held a short meeting virtually last night:

STUDENT OF THE MONTH

The Crossville City Council in their virtual meeting last night named Martin Elementary 4th grader James Armstrong as the Student of the Month. His teacher, Ms. Leslie Smith, says James is a wonderful example of a student that exhibits honesty. We can count on him to always tell the truth about any situation at any time. Because of his honesty, he is respected and well-liked by his peers and his teachers. The city is a Community of Character partner and January is “honesty” month. A plaque will be presented to James soon by the mayor.

ORDINANCES APPROVED ON THIRD READING

  • Amending the 2020-2021 budget to purchase a Schwarze A4 storm street sweeper
  • Amending the 2020-2021 budget for the CARES Act funding

ORDINANCES APPROVED ON SECOND READING

  • Closing Lillian Court right of way and adjoining alleyway

The city council approved a contract with the Tennessee Department of Transportation on utility relocations on Highway 127 North near Potato Farm Road to near Hollow Lane.

The city council reviewed the latest monthly report (December 2020) from the Crossville Police Department in the meeting. It is as follows:
