VEHICLE PURSUIT RESULTS IN ARREST OF SUSPECT FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER IN LOUDON COUNTY

A vehicle pursuit in Loudon County yesterday afternoon resulted in the arrest of Isaac Hunter Pennington of Lenoir City on 17 charges including the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. The chase started on Old Highway 95 and went onto Old Sugarlimb Road where Pennington reportedly came close to running over a deputy who was deploying spike strips. Pennington later stopped and fled on foot but was apprehended. He was taken to the Loudon County Detention Facility.
