WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ISSUED FOR CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND VALLEY

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect from 11 p.m. tonight (Thursday, January 7, 2021) until noon central  time Friday, January 8, 2021.

The advisory includes the counties of CUMBERLAND, ROANE, MORGAN, FENTRESS, LOUDON, MEIGS, MCMINN, MONROE, OVERTON, RHEA, WHITE, PUTNAM AND VAN BUREN.

Snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches with isolated locations up to 3 inches possible.

Expect slippery road conditions during this advisory for the counties involved. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning commute.
