A driver escaped injury in a single vehicle accident on I-40 in eastern Putnam County late yesterday. Trooper James Owens says a 2015 Buick Lacrosse operated by 67-year-old Mirtha Kopec of Monterey was traveling east near the 294 mile marker when she lost control, left the road and struck multiple trees.
