The Roane County Board of Education in their meeting  last night  took no action on mandating the wearing of facial coverings for students. Most all board members weighed in on the  issue ranging from safety to how to enforce it. Danny Wright  asked for a motion for the mandate but none was given. The decision comes as Roane County presently has 351 active cases of COVID-19 and a death toll of 21. Seven of those fatalities were reported in the last three days.
