Crossville firefighters responded to an abandoned building at the intersection of Keyes Street and Livingston Road late last night to a structure blaze. Deputy Fire Chief Chris South says crews arrived to see it fully engulfed and took up a defensive position to protect nearby companies. Officials say it was intentionally set and the establishment had a history of having homeless people in and around it. An exact cause is under investigation. This is the second fire of this nature in the city in just over a month. Back on October 1, firefighters went to a similar scene on Genesis Road near Wayne Avenue where a small abandoned dwelling was destroyed.
