Law enforcement in Cumberland County say thieves continue to target catalytic converters on vehicles. A van parked off of Peavine Road is the latest this week. Precious metals such as platinum, palladium or gold are used as the catalyst. Depending on which metal was used, thieves can sell the converters to metal recyclers for anywhere from $20 to $200.
