Troopers and medics went to a vehicle accident on Roane State Highway near Roane County Park late yesterday. Troopers say a 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by 35-year-old Carlos Lateaulade of Rockwood attempted to turn onto Caney Creek Road and into the path of an oncoming 2007 Ford Mustang operated by a 17-year-old from Spring City. The report states the teenager was possibly hurt in the crash. Lateaulade, who escaped injury, was charged with failure to exercise due care, driving with no insurance, driving on an expired registration and failure to wear a seatbelt.
