Cumberland County authorities took 38-year-old George Matthew Leeds into custody following a physical altercation. The arrest report states Leeds kicked and punched a woman repeatedly at a home on Old Highway 70. He then allegedly pinned her against a truck and strangled her while threatening to kill her. Leeds supposedly forced the female into the vehicle and drove to Pomona Methodist Church. The victim was later taken to the hospital for treatment. Leeds was pulled over on Highway 70 West last Friday and arrested for aggravated assault by strangulation and aggravated kidnapping. His bond was initially set at $65,000.
