Sara Jo Garrett, age 78, of Crossville, passed away September 30, 2020. She was born December 26, 1941 in Crossville, the daughter of Arthur and Avo Pennycuff Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son: Daniel Sherrill (Debbie) of Crossville; daughters: Teresa Weidner and Mary Ann Sherrill (Darrell), both of Crossville; brother: JC Edwards of Crossville; grandchildren: Cherish Gingerich, Amanda Schubert, Danielle Davis, Tasha Wilson, Kimberly Vaughn, Brittany Kerley, Daniel Sherrill, Christopher Weidner, Nate Sherrill and Matthew Sherrill; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Lowell Sherrill and Donald Garrett; brothers: Harold Edwards, Howard Edward, Junior Edwards and Roger Edwards; and sisters: Judy Martin, Geraldine Sutphin, Linda Edwards and Midge Kilby. Funeral services will be held Friday October 2, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Big Lick Cemetery.
