TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COVID-19 REPORT – WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2020

The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 16,885 active cases (up 314 cases from yesterday) in Tennessee out of 177,087 total cases (up 1,856 cases since yesterday)

  • 160,202 recovered (up 1,542 from yesterday)
  • 2,151 died (up 24 from yesterday)
  • 791 had to be hospitalized (down 40 since yesterday)
  • 2,537,723 tested (up 27,632 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

ANDERSON – 103 active remaining cases (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 1,063 total cases (up 21 cases from yesterday), 11 fatalities, 22,759 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 33 active remaining cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 837 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 7,127 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 118 active remaining cases (down 11 cases from yesterday) out of 1,100 total cases (up 29 cases from yesterday), 16 fatalities, 20,096 negative tests

FENTRESS – 83 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 371 total cases (up 17 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 3,467 negative tests

KNOX – 1,203 remaining active cases (down 36 cases from yesterday) out of 8,484 total cases (up 133 cases from yesterday), 68 fatalities, 114,711 negative tests

LOUDON – 100 remaining active cases (up 8 cases from yesterday) out of 1,071 total cases (up 17 cases from yesterday), 6 fatalities, 11,300 negative tests

MCMINN – 118 remaining active cases (up 16 cases from yesterday) out of 994 total cases (up 32 cases from yesterday), 24 fatalities, 14,555 negative tests

MEIGS – 33 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 208 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 2,696 negative tests

MORGAN –  26 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 289 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 7,513 negative tests

OVERTON – 114 remaining active cases (up 21 cases from yesterday) out of 647 total cases (up 35 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 6,211 negative tests

PICKETT – 12 active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 92 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 881 negative tests

PUTNAM – 418 remaining active cases (up 60 cases from yesterday) out of 2,863 total cases (up 98 cases from yesterday), 36 fatalities, 26,155 negative tests

RHEA – 61 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 751 total case (up 6 cases from yesterday), 11 fatalities, 9,606 negative tests

ROANE – 96 active case (up 12 cases from yesterday) out of 781 total cases (up 20 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities (down one as 1 death was not covid related), 15,678 negative tests
