The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 15,944 active cases (DOWN 1,241 cases from yesterday) in Tennessee out of 170,891 total cases (up 1,032 cases since yesterday)

  • 154,947 recovered (up 2,273 from yesterday)
  • 2,064 died (up 39 from yesterday)
  • 805 had to be hospitalized (down 3 since yesterday)
  • 2,437,765 tested (up 22,236 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Saturday, September 12, 2020). INFORMATION IN BOLD INDICATES RISES IN NUMBERS FROM PREVIOUS DAY:

ANDERSON – 90 active remaining cases (down 13 cases from yesterday) out of 1,014 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 10 fatalities, 22,025 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 28 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 822 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 6,510 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 151 active remaining cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 1,055 total cases (up 19 cases from yesterday), 19,368 negative tests, 10 fatalities

FENTRESS – 89 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 337 total cases (up 12 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 3,346 negative tests

KNOX – 1,239 remaining active cases (up 18 cases from yesterday) out of 7,988 total cases (up 115 cases from yesterday), 67 fatalities, 110,427 negative tests

LOUDON – 82 remaining active cases (down 8 cases from yesterday) out of 1,027 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 10,864 negative tests

MCMINN – 95 remaining active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 933 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 24 fatalities, 14,004 negative tests

MEIGS – 36 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 200 total cases (same as yesterday), 3 fatalities, 2,588 negative tests

MORGAN –  38 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 281 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 7,363 negative tests

OVERTON – 100 remaining active cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 593 total cases (up 18 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 5,972 negative tests

PICKETT – 18 active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 88 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 862 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 369 remaining active cases (up 34 cases from yesterday) out of 2,695 total cases (up 60 cases from yesterday), 36 fatalities, 25,267 negative tests

RHEA – 60 remaining active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 721 total case (up 2 cases from yesterday), 8 fatalities, 8,843 negative tests
