BRUMBELOW, WILLIAMS AND SMITH INDICTED BY CUMBERLAND COUNTY GRAND JURY

A Cumberland County Grand Jury handed down indictments yesterday.

Court documents state 71-year-old Eddie Maurice Brumbelow faces counts of reckless endangerment and a 6th DUI offense. In December 2018, Brumbelow allegedly operated a vehicle while intoxicated and crashed into a garage with a passenger in the vehicle. He was convicted of driving under the influence four times in Cumberland County from 2005 to 2010 and once in Fentress County in 2012.

Carolyn Marie Williams, age 22, of Crossville faces one count of aggravated assault. Officers say she unlawfully and intentionally caused harm to a man last month while utilizing a knife.

Joshua Dwayne Smith, age 32, of Crossville, also faces a charge of aggravated assault, Prosecutors say he had a machete in his possession and caused a law enforcement officer to fear imminent injury. Smith was also indicted for public intoxication and evading arrest.

All three will be arraigned in Cumberland County Criminal Court in September 2020.
