The Tennessee Highway Patrol released their report last night of a fatal two vehicle accident Wednesday in Roane County on Blair Road. Troopers say a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by 30-year-old James Hamock of Harriman was approaching the intersection with Poplar Creek Road when he collided with a 2017 Honda CRV operated by a 15-year-old juvenile from Harriman. The impact caused the Honda to overturn. The driver of the CRV was injured and a passenger, 64-year-old Judy Carson of Harriman, passed away. Hamock ran from the scene and was located a short time later with the assistance of a THP helicopter. He was arrested for causing an accident resulting in injury or death, evading arrest and driving on a revoked license. Hamock was released from jail on bond early yesterday morning.
