A six vehicle accident on I-40 in eastern Cumberland County this afternoon sent six to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Troopers say the accident took place at the 330 westbound mile marker and all six automobiles were heading in the same direction when the chain reaction crash happened in heavy rainfall. Charged With: Driving with no license or insurance.

2007 International tractor-trailer driven by 28-year-old John Rodriguez of Pennsylvania
2012 Ford F-250 operated by 47-year-old Heath Casteel of Tennessee
2013 Kia Sorento driven by 37-year-old Alicia Armstrong from Tennessee (Injured)
Passengers – 38-year-old Nathan Armstrong of Tennessee and three minors, ages 15, 6 and 1.
2011 GMC Sierra (pulling trailer) operated by 55-year-old Michael Byars of Tennessee (Injured)
Traffic at the scene on I-40 westbound was backed up for miles for a couple of hours. That lead to heavy traffic congestion on Highway 70 between Westel and Crab Orchard.
