The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,135 (down 225 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 130,458 total cases (up 1,947 cases since yesterday)

  • 91,323 recovered (up 2,172 since yesterday)
  • 1,326 died (up 13 from yesterday)
  • 5,725 had to be hospitalized (up 77 since yesterday)
  • 1,809,900 tested (up 24,254 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Friday, August 14, 2020). INFORMATION IN BOLD INDICATES RISES IN NUMBERS FROM PREVIOUS DAY:

ANDERSON – 236 active remaining cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 743 total cases (up 21 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 16,338 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 79 active remaining cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) of 734 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 4,900 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 192 active remaining cases (up 16 cases from yesterday) out of 530 total cases (up 28 cases from yesterday), 13,557 negative tests, 7 deaths

FENTRESS – 46 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 106 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 2,327 negative tests

KNOX – 1,837 remaining active cases (up 9 cases from yesterday) out of 5,051 total cases (up 105 cases from yesterday), 41 fatalities, 82,504 negative tests

LOUDON – 244 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 788 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 7,997 negative tests

MCMINN – 153 remaining active cases (down 7 cases from yesterday) out of 591 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 9,563 negative tests

MEIGS – 29 remaining active cases (down 5 cases from yesterday) out of 115 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1,854 negative tests

MORGAN –  64 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 135 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 5,156 negative tests

OVERTON – 129 remaining active cases (up 11 cases from yesterday) out of 250 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,253 negative tests

PICKETT – 17 active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 40 total (same as yesterday), 704 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 510 remaining active cases (up 29 cases from yesterday) out of 1,932 total cases (up 54 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 19,015 negative tests

RHEA – 116 remaining active case (same as yesterday) out of 574 total case (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2 deaths, 6,121 negative tests

ROANE – 222 active case (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 516 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 11,280 negative tests

WHITE – 152 remaining active case (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 327 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 5 deaths, 4,965 negative tests

Wyndridge in Crossville– 11 staff (up 1 case from yesterday), 0 residents

(ANY staff member that tests positive is quarantined and away from the residents)
