The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,360 (up 257 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 128,511 total cases (up 2,118 cases since yesterday)

  • 89,151 recovered (up 1,861 since yesterday)
  • 1,313 died (up 24 from yesterday)
  • 5,648 had to be hospitalized (up 94 since yesterday)
  • 1,785,646 tested (up 27,956 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Thursday, August 13, 2020). INFORMATION IN BOLD INDICATES RISES IN NUMBERS FROM PREVIOUS DAY:

ANDERSON – 231 active remaining cases (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 722 total cases (up 11 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 16,063 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 75 active remaining cases (up 9 cases from yesterday) of 727 total cases (up 10 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 4,847 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 176 active remaining cases (up 14 cases from yesterday) out of 502 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 13,248 negative tests, 7 deaths

FENTRESS – 46 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 104 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 2,291 negative tests

KNOX – 1,828 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 4,946 total cases (up 94 cases from yesterday), 41 fatalities, 80,534 negative tests

LOUDON – 245 remaining active cases (down 9 cases from yesterday) out of 779 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 7,816 negative tests

MCMINN – 160 remaining active cases (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 583 total cases (up 16 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 9,303 negative tests

MEIGS – 34 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 113 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 1,839 negative tests

MORGAN –  67 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 133 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 5,116 negative tests

OVERTON – 118 remaining active cases (up 9 cases from yesterday) out of 235 total cases (up 14 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,188 negative tests

PICKETT – 20 active cases (same as yesterday) out of 40 total (same as yesterday), 693 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 481 remaining active cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 1,878 total cases (up 38 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 18,558 negative tests

RHEA – 116 remaining active case (up 14 cases from yesterday) out of 566 total case (up 19 cases from yesterday), 2 deaths, 6,075 negative tests

ROANE – 226 active case (same as yesterday) out of 510 total cases (up 14 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 11,103 negative tests

WHITE – 142 remaining active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 315 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 5 deaths, 4,904 negative tests

Wyndridge in Crossville– 10 staff (same as yesterday), 0 residents

(ANY staff member that tests positive is quarantined and away from the residents)
