The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,103 (down 499 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 126,393 total cases (up 1,478 cases since yesterday)

  • 87,290 recovered (up 1,977 since yesterday)
  • 1,289 died (up 18 from yesterday)
  • 5,554 had to be hospitalized (up 90 since yesterday)
  • 1,757,690 tested (up 18,815 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Wednesday, August 12, 2020). INFORMATION IN BOLD INDICATES RISES IN NUMBERS FROM PREVIOUS DAY:

ANDERSON – 237 active remaining cases (down 7 cases from yesterday) out of 711 total cases (up 13 cases from yesterday), 6 fatalities, 15,799 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 66 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) of 717 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 4,793 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 162 active remaining cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 483 total cases (up 20 cases from yesterday), 13,008 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 45 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 98 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 2,231 negative tests

KNOX – 1,825 remaining active cases (down 30 cases from yesterday) out of 4,852 total cases (up 102 cases from yesterday), 40 fatalities, 79,532 negative tests

LOUDON – 256 remaining active cases (up 7 cases from yesterday) out of 774 total cases (up 20 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 7,688 negative tests

MCMINN – 154 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 567 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 9,159 negative tests

MEIGS – 36 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 109 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,810 negative tests

MORGAN –  65 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 130 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 5,057 negative tests

OVERTON – 109 remaining active cases (up 7 cases from yesterday) out of 221 total cases (up 12 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,134 negative tests

PICKETT – 20 active cases (same as yesterday) out of 40 total (up 1 case from yesterday), 672 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 471 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 1,840 total cases (up 40 cases from yesterday), 18 fatalities, 18,296 negative tests

RHEA – 102 remaining active case (down 8 cases from yesterday) out of 547 total case (up 3 cases from yesterday), 2 deaths, 5,937 negative tests

ROANE – 226 active case (down 9 cases from yesterday) out of 496 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 10,943 negative tests

WHITE – 141 remaining active case (up 11 cases from yesterday) out of 310 total cases (up 16 cases from yesterday), 5 deaths, 4,863 negative tests

Wyndridge in Crossville– 10 staff (same as yesterday), 0 residents

(ANY staff member that tests positive is quarantined and away from the residents)
