The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,602 (down 1,142 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 124,915 total cases (up 1,001 cases since yesterday)

  • 85,313 recovered (up 2,143 since yesterday)
  • 1,271 died (up 38 from yesterday)
  • 5,464 had to be hospitalized (up 125 since yesterday)
  • 1,738,875 tested (up 12,785 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Tuesday, August 11, 2020). INFORMATION IN BOLD INDICATES RISES IN NUMBERS FROM PREVIOUS DAY:

ANDERSON – 244 active remaining cases (down 21 cases from yesterday) out of 698 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 6 fatalities, 15,649 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 66 active remaining cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) of 716 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 4,753 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 152 active remaining cases (down 19 cases from yesterday) out of 463 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 12,907 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 45 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 96 total cases (same as yesterday), 2,222 negative tests

KNOX – 1,855 remaining active cases (down 62 cases from yesterday) out of 4,750 total cases (up 65 cases from yesterday), 40 fatalities, 78,640 negative tests

LOUDON – 249 remaining active cases (down 20 cases from yesterday) out of 754 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 7,619 negative tests

MCMINN – 153 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 559 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 9,063 negative tests

MEIGS – 39 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 108 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1,787 negative tests

MORGAN –  64 remaining active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 127 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 death, 5,033 negative tests

OVERTON – 102 remaining active cases (up 8 cases from yesterday) out of 209 total cases (up 11 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,012 negative tests

PICKETT – 20 active cases (same as yesterday) out of 39 total (up 2 cases from yesterday), 666 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 471 remaining active cases (down 11 cases from yesterday) out of 1,800 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 18 fatalities, 18,105 negative tests

RHEA – 110 remaining active case (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 544 total case (up 6 cases from yesterday), 2 deaths, 5,877 negative tests

ROANE – 235 active case (down 14 cases from yesterday) out of 488 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 10,838 negative tests

WHITE – 130 remaining active case (down 7 cases from yesterday) out of 294 total cases (same as yesterday), 5 deaths, 4,795 negative tests

Wyndridge in Crossville– 10 staff (same as yesterday), 0 residents

(ANY staff member that tests positive is quarantined and away from the residents)
