CROSSVILLE MAN FLOWN TO TRAUMA CENTER AFTER BEING HIT BY A VEHICLE

A Crossville man was struck by a vehicle late Saturday night. The accident report states a 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by 60-year-old Dale Adams Rice of Crossville was traveling south on West Avenue at 4th Street when 46-year-old Shamus McMahon of Crossville walked out into the intersection as Rice had a green light. McMahon, who was wearing dark clothing, was hit resulting in him going airborne and landing on the road. Rice, who was possibly hurt, was taken to Cumberland Medical Center  while McMahon was flown by Lifestar to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. As of 11:25 a.m. central this morning (Monday, August 10, 2020), McMahon is listed in critical condition.
