The Tennessee Highway Patrol says an out-of-state man was killed in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on I-40 late last night. The report released moments ago states a 2016 Ford super duty truck driven by 52-year-old Richard Dennis Dell Turner of Evansville, Indiana broke down at the 327 mile marker westbound. Turner got out of his vehicle when it started to roll, swerved to the right and was hit by an oncoming 2004 Ford F-250 operated by 50-year-old Jason Curry of Nashville. Turner’s truck then hit him resulting in fatal injuries. Westbound traffic at the scene was closed for hours as troopers investigated the accident.
