ONE FLOWN TO TRAUMA CENTER AFTER CAR HIT BY TRAIN IN RHEA COUNTY

Dayton police says a car was struck by a train yesterday afternoon. It happened next to the intersection of Railroad Street and Iowa Avenue. Initial reports state one inside the vehicle was flown to an area trauma center for treatment of injuries. Officers say the railroad crossing bars were down at the time of the incident. A full report, including the name of the driver, will be released by the Dayton Police Department at a later time.
