The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,758 (DOWN 1,398 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 110,636 total cases (up 1,009 cases since yesterday)

  • 70,878 recovered (up 2,407 since yesterday)
  • 1,092 died (up 19 from yesterday)
  • 4,808 had to be hospitalized (up 52 since yesterday)
  • 1,573,222 tested (up 12,201 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Monday, August 3, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 267 active remaining cases (down 22 cases from yesterday) out of 607 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 13,923 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 34 active remaining cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) of 672 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,491 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 135 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) out of 379 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 11,716 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 35 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 74 total cases (same as yesterday), 1,995 negative tests

KNOX – 1,910 remaining active cases (down 35 cases from yesterday) out of 4,032 total cases (up 106 cases from yesterday), 36 fatalities, 70,420 negative tests

LOUDON – 272 remaining active cases (down 9 cases from yesterday) out of 653 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 6,730 negative tests

MCMINN – 145 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 489 total cases (up 10 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 8,169 negative tests

MEIGS – 50 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 98 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1,666 negative tests

MORGAN –  34 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 82 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 4,683 negative tests

OVERTON – 39 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 134 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,618 negative tests

PICKETT – 12 active cases (same as yesterday) out of 22 total (same as yesterday), 628 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 392 remaining active cases (down 26 cases from yesterday) out of 1,544 total cases (down 3 cases from yesterday), 13 fatalities, 16,389 negative tests

RHEA – 138 remaining active case (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 502 total case (up 5 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 5,344 negative tests

ROANE – 206 active case (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 364 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 9,539 negative tests

WHITE – 79 remaining active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 194 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 3 deaths, 4,288 negative tests
