The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 39,602 (up 965 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 105,959 total cases (up 3,088 cases since yesterday)

  • 66,357 recovered (up 2,123 since yesterday)
  • 1,060 died (up 27 from yesterday)
  • 4,661 had to be hospitalized (up 89 since yesterday)
  • 1,512,224 tested (up 32,555 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Friday, July 31, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 272 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) out of 571 total cases (up 21 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 13,185 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 23 active remaining cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) of 659 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,408 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 129 active remaining cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 365 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 11,384 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 35 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 71 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 1,957 negative tests

KNOX – 1,818 remaining active cases (up 11 cases from yesterday) out of 3,705 total cases (up 130 cases from yesterday), 30 fatalities, 67,111 negative tests

LOUDON – 251 remaining active cases (up 9 cases from yesterday) out of 606 total cases (up 16 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 6,481 negative tests

MCMINN – 132 remaining active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 462 total cases (up 10 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 7,786 negative tests

MEIGS – 48 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 92 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 1,610 negative tests

MORGAN –  27 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 70 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 4,591 negative tests

OVERTON – 33 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 125 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,545 negative tests

PICKETT – 11 active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 21 total (up 2 cases from yesterday), 616 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 403 remaining active cases (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 1,518 total cases (up 16 cases from yesterday), 13 fatalities, 16,013 negative tests

RHEA – 126 remaining active case (up 11 cases from yesterday) out of 481 total case (up 15 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 5,044 negative tests

ROANE – 195 active case (up 24 cases from yesterday) out of 330 total cases (up 28 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 9,184 negative tests
