The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 38,637 (down 56 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 102,871 total cases (up 2,049 cases since yesterday)

  • 64,234 recovered (up 2,105 since yesterday)
  • 1,033 died (up 13 from yesterday)
  • 4,572 had to be hospitalized (up 90 since yesterday)
  • 1,479,669 tested (up 24,549 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Thursday, July 30, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 272 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 550 total cases (up 14 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 12,924 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 21 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) of 656 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,383 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 127 active remaining cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 356 total cases (up 10 cases from yesterday), 11,132 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 34 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 66 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1,921 negative tests

KNOX – 1,807 remaining active cases (up 33 cases from yesterday) out of 3,575 total cases (up 131 cases from yesterday), 28 fatalities, 65,533 negative tests

LOUDON – 242 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 590 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 6,309 negative tests

MCMINN – 136 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 452 total cases (up 10 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 7,621 negative tests

MEIGS – 47 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 87 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1,566 negative tests

MORGAN –  22 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 65 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 death, 4,549 negative tests

OVERTON – 33 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 123 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,494 negative tests

PICKETT – 10 active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 19 total (down 3 cases from yesterday), 615 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 409 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 1,502 total cases (up 37 cases from yesterday), 13 fatalities, 15,796 negative tests

RHEA – 115 remaining active case (up 8 cases from yesterday) out of 466 total case (up 12 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,905 negative tests

ROANE – 171 active case (up 2 case from yesterday) out of 302 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 8,914 negative tests
