The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 38,693 (down 591 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 100,822 total cases (up 1,778 cases since yesterday)

  • 62,129 recovered (up 2,369 since yesterday)
  • 1,020 died (up 21 from yesterday)
  • 4,482 had to be hospitalized (up 110 since yesterday)
  • 1,455,120 tested (up 19,687 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Wednesday, July 29, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 271 active remaining cases (up 30 cases from yesterday) out of 536 total cases (up 36 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 12,664 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 21 active remaining cases (down 1 case from yesterday) of 654 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,347 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 123 active remaining cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 346 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 10,934 negative tests, 6 deaths

FENTRESS – 35 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 63 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1,883 negative tests

KNOX – 1,774 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 3,444 total cases (up 107 cases from yesterday), 27 fatalities, 64,151 negative tests

LOUDON – 237 remaining active cases (up 7 cases from yesterday) out of 575 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 6,185 negative tests

MCMINN – 133 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 442 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 20 fatalities, 7,376 negative tests

MEIGS – 44 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 84 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,527 negative tests

MORGAN –  22 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 64 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 4,516 negative tests

OVERTON – 31 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 118 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,420 negative tests

PICKETT – 14 active cases (same as yesterday) out of 22 total (same as yesterday), 598 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 404 remaining active cases (down 20 cases from yesterday) out of 1,465 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 13 fatalities, 15,420 negative tests

RHEA – 107 remaining active case (down 22 cases from yesterday) out of 454 total case (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,762 negative tests

ROANE – 169 active case (up 11 case from yesterday) out of 294 total cases (up 21 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 8,789 negative tests

WHITE – 79 remaining active case (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 175 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 3 deaths, 4,052 negative tests
