DRIVER INJURED AFTER VEHICLE SLAMS INTO SIDE OF OLD JAIL BUILDING IN ROANE COUNTY

A driver was transported to an area trauma center after his vehicle slammed into the side of the old jail in downtown Kingston last night. Police Chief Jim Washam told 105.7 News this afternoon the male from Lenoir City experienced a medical episode and collided with three vehicles before striking the building currently being used as a juvenile detention facility. The man was taken to U.T. Medical Center for treatment. A full accident report will be released at a later time. No other injuries were reported.
