Dean Clark Mowery, age 89, of Harriman, passed away July 16, 2020 after fighting a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Dean loved her family deeply and took pride in her grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. She loved cooking, gardening, and watching sports. She was an avid tennis player and her tennis team won the Senior Championship in Palm Springs as well as several other tournaments during her lifetime. Her door was always open to everyone and she will missed by many. She was proceeded in death by her husband: Jack Mowery; daughter: Ginger Moore; son: Jim Mowery; brothers: Don, Sonny, and Reid Clark; and sister: Vivian Woody (JC Woody). She is survived by her son: Roger Mowery (Debbie) of Lenoir City; daughter: Terry Gamble of Maryville and Anita Lawson of Kingston; sister-in-law: Elean Raby of Loudon; daughter-in-law: Jeanie Mowery of Philadelphia; grandchildren: Jody Moore (Gena), Gary Moore, Will Smith, Sarah Mowery, Ashley Kittrell (Brandon); and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. There will be a private burial held Monday, July 20, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Swan Pond Methodist Church located at 1317 Swan Pond Rd. Harriman, TN 37748.
