NASHVILLE PREDATORS RETURNING TO ICE AFTER PLAYERS ASSOCIATION REACHES PLAN FOR POSTSEASON

Late last Friday, the National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players’ Association reached an agreement on a plan for the 2020 postseason. It involves 24 teams, including the Nashville Predators, to begin competition for the Stanley Cup August 1, 2020 with a round of qualifying games.

Today (Monday, July 13, 2020) starts the two-week training camp for the Predators and the other teams competing in the postseason.

Starting July 26, 2020, the Predators will travel to the Western Conference hub city of Edmonton, where they will prepare to face their conference rival Arizona Coyotes for a best-of-five Stanley Cup Playoffs qualifying round.

Here is the schedule for the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs:

Qualifiers and round-robin: Saturday, Aug. 1

First round: Aug. 11

Second round: Aug. 25 (tentative)

Conference finals: Sept. 8 (tentative)

Stanley Cup Final: Sept. 22 (tentative)
