The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 23,982 (up 2,295 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 57,591 total cases (up 1,605 cases since yesterday)

  • 33,609 recovered (up 873 since yesterday)
  • 710 died (up 25 from yesterday)
  • 3,088 had to be hospitalized (up 65 since yesterday)
  • 972,276tested (up 21,736 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Thursday, July 9, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 88 active remaining cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 178 total cases (up 12 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 8,789 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 10 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of 625 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,843 negative tests

CLAY – 4 active case (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 18 total case (same as yesterday), 794 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 52 active remaining cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 196 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 7,542 negative tests, 4 deaths (the 4 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 9 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 25 total cases (same as yesterday), 1,387 negative tests

KNOX – 753 remaining active cases (up 46 cases from yesterday) out of 1,471 total cases (up 79 cases from yesterday), 9 fatalities, 42,719 negative tests

LOUDON – 78 remaining active cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 308 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,295 negative tests

MCMINN – 83 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 257 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 18 fatalities, 4,823 negative tests

MEIGS – 8 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 35 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,026 negative tests

MORGAN –  8 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 29 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 death, 3,931 negative tests

OVERTON – 17 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 68 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 2,322 negative tests

PICKETT – 1 active case (same as yesterday) out of 6 total (same as yesterday), 502 negative tests

PUTNAM – 293 remaining active cases (up 34 cases from yesterday) out of 989 total cases (up 63 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 10,884 negative tests
