The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 21,177 (up 1,080 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 51,431 total cases (up 1,291 cases since yesterday)

  • 30,254 recovered (up 211 since yesterday)
  • 646 died (up 9 from yesterday)
  • 2,871 had to be hospitalized (up 11 since yesterday)
  • 895,796 tested (up 17,566 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Sunday, July 5, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 68 active remaining cases (up 8 cases from yesterday) out of 142 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 8,255 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 8 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of 620 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,771 negative tests

CLAY – 6 active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 17 total case (up 1 case from yesterday), 766 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 55 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 181 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 7,123 negative tests, 4 deaths (the 4 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 8 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 22 total cases (same as yesterday), 1,334 negative tests

KNOX – 544 remaining active cases (up 21 cases from yesterday) out of 1,171 total cases (up 29 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 38,650 negative tests

LOUDON – 70 remaining active cases (up 7 cases from yesterday) out of 287 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 4,049 negative tests

MCMINN – 71 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 237 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 18 fatalities, 4,546 negative tests

MEIGS – 5 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 32 total cases (same as yesterday), 976 negative tests

MORGAN –  6 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 27 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1 death, 3,862 negative tests

OVERTON – 18 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 62 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 2,217 negative tests

PICKETT – 2 active case (same as yesterday) out of 6 total (same as yesterday), 496 negative tests

PUTNAM – 274 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 883 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 10,120 negative tests

RHEA – 42 remaining active case (up 8 cases from yesterday) out of 286 total case (up 8 cases from yesterday), 2,932 negative tests
