The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 19,121 (up 1,169 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 48,712 total cases (up 1,822 cases since yesterday)

  • 29,591 recovered (up 653 since yesterday)
  • 633 died (up 13 from yesterday)
  • 2,825 had to be hospitalized (up 50 since yesterday)
  • 862,121 tested (up 24,037 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Friday, July 3, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 44 active remaining cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 116 total cases (up 11 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 7,912 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 6 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) of 618 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,743 negative tests

CLAY – 5 active case (same as yesterday) out of 16 total case (same as yesterday), 708 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 52 active remaining cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 178 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 7,028 negative tests, 4 deaths (the 4 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 8 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 22 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 1,319 negative tests

KNOX – 473 remaining active cases (up 46 cases from yesterday) out of 1,086 total cases (up 64 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 36,693 negative tests

LOUDON – 60 remaining active cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 277 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,950 negative tests

MCMINN – 63 remaining active cases (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 227 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 18 fatalities, 4,345 negative tests

MEIGS – 6 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 33 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 940 negative tests

MORGAN –  4 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 25 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 death, 3,809 negative tests

OVERTON – 16 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 59 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 2,169 negative tests

PICKETT – 2 active case (same as yesterday) out of 6 total (same as yesterday), 487 negative tests

PUTNAM – 249 remaining active cases (up 36 cases from yesterday) out of 853 total cases (up 39 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 9,716 negative tests

RHEA – 35 remaining active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 275 total case (up 1 case from yesterday), 2,826 negative tests

ROANE – 24 active case (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 59 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 5,723 negative tests

June 1-30, 2020 – 116 up to 168 cases (second fatality reported with elderly female from Fairfield Glade on June 4 and third fatality reported June 17 with elderly male in Fairfield Glade)

July 2, 2020 – 174 cases (fourth fatality reported this day)
