A young man lost his life in a vehicle accident in Cumberland County last night. Trooper Justin Mote say a 2004 Buick driven by 21-year-old Robert Jenkins of Crossville was traveling on Highway 68 just after 9 p.m. when he crossed over the center line. The driver of an oncoming 2005 Kia Sorento, 48-year-old Vanessa Tays of Crossville, took evasive action and collided with a guardrail and then was struck by the Buick. Jenkins ran off the road and was ejected from the vehicle. He died from injuries sustained. Tays and a passenger with her, 78-year-old Dorothy Trance of Crossville, sustained injuries in the crash.
