The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 17,032 (up 1,122 cases from yesterday) active cases in Tennessee out of 45,315 total cases (up 1,806 cases since yesterday)

  • 28,283 recovered (up 684 since yesterday)
  • 609 died (up 5 from yesterday)
  • 2,715 had to be hospitalized (up 50 since yesterday)
  • 817,522 tested (up 24,743 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Wednesday, July 1, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 35 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 104 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 7,583 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 6 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of 618 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,722 negative tests

CLAY – 5 active case (same as yesterday) out of 16 total case (same as yesterday), 689 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 48 active remaining cases (up 5 cases from yesterday) out of 173 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 6,839 negative tests, 3 deaths (the 3 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 4 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 18 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,292 negative tests

KNOX – 398 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 982 total cases (up 15 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 34,819 negative tests

LOUDON – 53 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 265 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,828 negative tests

MCMINN – 58 remaining active cases (down 5 cases from yesterday) out of 216 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 17 fatalities, 4,227 negative tests

MEIGS – 5 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 32 total cases (same as yesterday), 917 negative tests

MORGAN –  4 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 24 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 death, 3,761 negative tests

OVERTON – 16 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 57 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 2,122 negative tests

PICKETT – 2 active case (same as yesterday) out of 6 total (same as yesterday), 477 negative tests

PUTNAM – 213 remaining active cases (up 20 cases from yesterday) out of 805 total cases (up 22 cases from yesterday), 7 fatalities, 9,336 negative tests

RHEA – 34 remaining active case (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 272 total case (up 3 cases from yesterday), 2,744 negative tests

ROANE – 14 active case (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 46 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 5,537 negative tests

WHITE – 15 remaining active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 64 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 3 deaths, 2,466 negative tests

June 1-30, 2020 – 116 up to 168 cases (second fatality reported with elderly female from Fairfield Glade on June 4 and third fatality reported June 17 with elderly male in Fairfield Glade)
