A two vehicle accident on Highway 62 (Clarkrange Highway) in eastern Putnam County late yesterday claimed the life of one and injured three. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 1993 Chevrolet Van driven by 34-year-old Eric Kimball of Monterey crossed over the center line in a curve and hit an oncoming 1987 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by 50-year-old David Stephens of Fentress County. Kimball died in the crash and two children, ages 5 and 7 in his van, along with Stephens, were all injured. Highway 62 was closed at the scene for hours.
