The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 7,706 (up 333 from yesterday) remaining active cases in Tennessee out of 23,006 total cases (up 440 since yesterday)

  • 15,300 recovered (up 107 since yesterday)
  • 364 died (same as yesterday)
  • 1,750 had to be hospitalized (up 18 since yesterday)
  • 435,977 tested (up 8,931 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Sunday, May 31, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 5 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 41 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 death, 4,432 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 4 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of 608 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,308 negative tests

CLAY – 1 active case (same as yesterday) out of 7 total case (same as yesterday), 495 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 36 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 113 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 3,992 negative tests, 1 death (the 1 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 4 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 12 total cases (same as yesterday), 686 negative tests

KNOX – 65 remaining active cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 379 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 16,284 negative tests

LOUDON – 34 remaining active cases (down 4 cases from yesterday) out of 144 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,958 negative tests

MCMINN – 36 remaining active cases (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 141 total cases (same as yesterday), 14 fatalities, 2,675 negative tests

MEIGS – 5 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 26 total cases (same as yesterday), 515 negative tests

MORGAN –  6 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 17 total cases (same as yesterday), 3,037 negative tests

OVERTON – 10 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 28 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 1,315 negative tests

PICKETT – 1 active case (same as yesterday) out of 3 total (same as yesterday), 258 negative tests

PUTNAM – 268 remaining active cases (up 12 cases from yesterday) out of 491 total cases (up 12 from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 4,666 negative tests
