The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 7,047 (down 343 from yesterday) remaining active cases in Tennessee out of 21,679 total cases (up 373 since yesterday)

  • 14,632 recovered (up 716 since yesterday)
  • 356 died (up 3 from yesterday)
  • 1,689 had to be hospitalized (up 42 since yesterday)
  • 415,989 tested (up 6,359 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Thursday, May 28, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 4 active remaining cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 39 total cases (down 1 case from yesterday), 1 death, 4,313 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 5 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) of 608 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,276 negative tests

CLAY – 0 active cases out of 6 total case (same as yesterday), 487 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 34 active remaining cases (down 4 from yesterday) out of 111 total cases (same as yesterday), 3,603 negative tests, 1 death (the 1 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

MORGAN –  6 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 17 total cases (same as yesterday), 2,997 negative tests

OVERTON – 8 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 26 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,275 negative tests

PICKETT – 1 active case (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 3 total, 255 negative tests
