The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 7,534 (up 226 from yesterday) remaining active cases in Tennessee out of 20,607 total cases (up 462 since yesterday)

  • 13,073 recovered (up 236 since yesterday)
  • 338 died (up 2 from yesterday)
  • 1,594 had to be hospitalized (up 11 since yesterday)
  • 396,219 tested (up 12,643 since yesterday)

The following counties in the coverage area report the following as of today (Monday, May 25, 2020). Information in BOLD indicates rises in numbers:

ANDERSON – 5 active remaining cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 39 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 death, 4,059 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 5 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of 608 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1 fatality, 3,264 negative tests

CLAY – 0 active cases out of 6 total case (down 1 from yesterday), 476 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 36 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) out of 109 total cases (same as yesterday), 3,381 negative tests, 1 death (the 1 is subtracted from the active for an accurate count remaining)

FENTRESS – 4 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 11 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 625 negative tests

KNOX – 36 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 336 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 13,943 negative tests

LOUDON – 76 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday, mainly at Monterey Mushroom plant in Loudon) out of 136 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 1,728 negative tests

MCMINN – 42 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 135 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 13 fatalities, 2,433 negative tests

MEIGS – 5 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 25 total cases (same as yesterday), 481 negative tests

MORGAN –  11 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 17 total cases (same as yesterday), 2,947 negative tests

OVERTON – 7 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 21 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 1,192 negative tests

PICKETT – 0 active case out of 3 total, 243 negative tests

PUTNAM – 217 remaining active cases (down 3 cases from yesterday) out of 380 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 3,825 negative tests
