The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a driver passed away from injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident in Roane County last Friday. The accident report released this morning states a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 72-year-old Sharon Roden of Harriman and a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage operated by 58-year-old Laura Mincey of Kingston collided on Roane State Highway in front of Kroger and Lowe’s in Midtown. Mincey was flown to an area trauma center where she passed away Sunday from injuries sustained in the impact. Roden was hurt in the crash. Three passengers in Mincey’s vehicle, 32-year-old Terry Marshall of Kingston, 36-year-old Amanda Salazar of Kingston and a 4-year-old child, escaped injuries. The accident remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
