FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO HOME BLAZE ON LEE VILLAGE ROAD IN ROANE COUNTY

Harriman firefighters, along with mutual aid from the Rockwood and Kingston Fire Departments, responded to a home on Lee Village Road yesterday for a structure blaze. Upon arrival, crews observed light smoke coming from the residence. Once inside they saw the fire in the kitchen area and brought it under control inside of 30 minutes. No human injuries were reported but several cats in the home died. A cause of the fire is being determined.
